PRETTY PLASTIC
2022
‘Pretty plastic’ is a result of my journey through the life of plastic. I created this visual tool for the audience to explore the beauty and aesthetics of plastic further. Plastic is supposed and made to last, and if we can understand the material's value, we will create a sense of the matter in these objects. It is about time to treat plastic better. All the cut-outs you use on the website are a part of my plastic bag research, collected through experiments and photographs.
I later used the visuals gathered from the website later in the final project, 'Extra Ordinary,' you find above. The website works as a tool to include the audience in the creating with plastic. This tool allows the audience to explore the possibilities of plastic while again highlighting the plastic features of being reused and reshaped.
